My at-home routine
Tap each step to see the O&M products I love and how to use them.
-
PS Shampoo + Conditioner · My everyday pair. Sulfate-free and gentle on color, with nourishing oils that soften and detangle. Condition mid-lengths to ends.
Fine Intellect · For fine hair that wants volume without weight.
Hydrate & Conquer · For dry hair that needs extra moisture.
Original Detox · A clarifying wash about once a month to clear product and water buildup.
-
PS Masque · Apply generously to freshly shampooed hair, comb through and leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse. Use it weekly in place of conditioner for fine to medium hair; thicker hair can use it every wash.
-
CØR.restore Colour Lock Milk · My must-have. A spray-in leave-in that helps lock in your color, detangles and adds shine. Spray evenly over damp hair, comb through and style. No rinsing.
CØR.restore Leave-In Treatment · Seals the cuticle for glassy shine and strengthens every strand. Pump 1–2 times onto damp mid-lengths and ends (a little less on dry hair). No rinsing.
-
PS Spray · Heat protection with UV filters, so hot tools and sun don’t fade your color. Mist over damp hair before blow-drying or hot tools.
PS Balm · Smooths frizz and seals ends. Work a small amount through damp hair before styling, or a tiny bit on dry ends for gloss.
Style Guru · A soft styling cream for movement and body. Half a pump through towel-dried mid-lengths.
-
Thique Volumising Powder · Pump onto dry roots and massage in with your fingertips for lift that lasts. Also great through mid-lengths for texture.
Desert Dry Texture Spray · My go-to finisher for an oily scalp or second-day hair. It soaks up oil and adds airy, lived-in texture. Shake, spray about 12 inches away and work through with your fingers.
-
S Spray Dry Shine Spray · Shake, then mist from about 12 inches away for weightless, glossy shine.
Original Queenie · Firm, flake-free hold for blowouts and curls that need to last all day.
Flexible Queenie · A softer hold that still moves.
Habits that help it last
Wash 2–3 times a week · Every wash fades color a little. On second- and third-day hair, try a sleek, tight bun, and finish with a mist of Desert Dry to soak up oil at the scalp.
Rinse cool · Hot water opens the cuticle and lets color slip out. Finish every wash with a cool rinse.
Protect from heat, every time · PS Spray before every blow-dry, curl or flat-iron.
Lake + pool days · Wet your hair with clean water and spray Colour Lock Milk before you swim, then rinse right after. Sun, chlorine and lake water fade color fastest.
Keep up your gloss · An Effortless Gloss every 6–10 weeks keeps your tone fresh between bigger appointments.
Style it all week
Easy ways to keep your hair looking fresh from wash day to day three.
-
Before bed · Twist your hair into a loose top knot or pin two big Velcro rollers at the crown, and sleep on a silk pillowcase.
In the morning · Shake it out, mist a little S Spray for shine, and you’re out the door.
Skip · Tight ponytails, steamy showers and sweat. Clip it up loosely for workouts.
-
Set · Mist PS Spray, then wrap 3–4 large Velcro rollers at the crown and front, rolling away from your face.
Wait · Leave them in about 10 minutes while you do your makeup. A quick blast of heat helps them set.
Finish · Take them out, pump Thique at the roots, and finish with Flexible Queenie.
-
Prep · Mist Desert Dry at the scalp to soak up oil.
Smooth · Brush everything back, smooth flyaways with a little PS Balm, and secure a tight, low ponytail.
Twist + pin · Twist into a bun, pin it in place, and set with Original Queenie.
-
Prep · On damp hair, spray Colour Lock Milk and PS Spray, then work Style Guru through your mid-lengths.
Rough dry · Blow-dry with your fingers until your hair is about 80% dry.
Round brush + roll · Working in sections, smooth each one with a round brush, then roll it into a large Velcro roller while it’s still warm. Let them cool completely.
Finish · Take the rollers out, break it up with your fingers, add Thique at the roots, and finish with S Spray and Flexible Queenie.
Extension care
-
Twice a day · Use a soft loop or extension brush. Hold your hair near the root and brush from the ends up, so there’s no tug on the bonds.
-
2–3 times a week · Shampoo at the scalp and keep conditioner, PS Masque and oils on your mid-lengths and ends, away from the bonds.
Dry the roots fully · Blow-dry your roots and bonds right away instead of letting them air-dry or going to bed damp.
-
At night · Sleep with dry hair in a loose braid or low pony to prevent tangles.
Workouts + swimming · Tie it back, and before you swim, wet your hair with clean water and spray Colour Lock Milk. Rinse and brush out right after.
-
Protect first · Mist PS Spray before any heat.
Mind the bonds · Keep your flat iron or curling iron about an inch away from the bonds.
-
About every 8 weeks · Keep your move-ups on the books so your extensions stay comfortable, secure and perfectly blended.
